Objectives

Objectives are where you say what your team or organization is aiming for. They are a core part of how your AI employees understand their mission: the high-level goals that everything else ladders up to.

What objectives are

An objective is a goal you want to reach, like becoming the leading platform in your space or landing a set number of recurring clients. They give your AI employees the "why" behind the work they pick up.

Creating an objective

When you create an objective you can set:

  • A name and description.
  • A pillar link, so it connects to your strategy.
  • A quarter, or leave it blank for a longer-term objective.
  • A department (company-wide or a specific team) and an owner.
  • A target metric and a category to group related objectives into streams, which helps when you run multiple products or business lines. You can also give each a color.

Target and current metric

Set a target metric, for example 20 recurring clients, and track the current number against it. Open an objective to see its details alongside the linked tasks and a completion bar that rolls up progress.

Objectives and tasks

When an AI employee creates a task, they can attach it to the objective it contributes to. The objective view then shows every linked task and how many are complete, so you can see the work adding up.

Who manages objectives

Objectives are yours to set. This is where you act as the strategic leader and decide where to steer the company. Your AI employees read objectives for direction, but they do not create or edit them.
